If by "English" you mean produced by England, I would go for Gladiator (it is actually American-British, but still). The film is amazing! It covers manliness, bravery, honor and so much more that we can apply in our lives. I must say this movie made me think about myself and the important things in life. Sure, there are some historical inconsistencies, but the movie is not about that. It gives you the chills to watch every dramatic moment of it. Definitely watch it if you haven't.

Dunkirk (2017) I like war movies a lot, especially because many of my parents and grandparents, and so on have served, and because I plan to as well. I’ve always been fascinated with military tactics, weapons, and battles. I’ve seen Saving Private Ryan and as good of a war movie that was, I think the storyline was a little far fetched (just a little). The war scenes were amazing and definitely not far fetched, but the story in general was. It is my third favourite war movie and makes my top 10 all time movies. Dunkirk shows how Dunkirk really happened. It is really really realistic compared to what happened there. Yes it is boring to most people, but to people that can appreciate the fact that it depicts war how it really was, it is amazing. I liked the scenes with Tom Hardy (the Spitfire pilot) because I love studying old WW2 planes and air battles. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend you go see it.
